Within every woman's heart are precious gifts God has placed there. These priceless treasures may lie dormant until someone helps to open the gate and recognize their potential. As "Spiritual Mothers," mentors offer one of the greatest gifts one person can offer another.

Model - Mind of Christ and love His Word
Excellence in mutual respect and protocol- All things to be held confidential
Need for prayer – Covenant to pray for each other
Transparency -Be honest and do not waste time, yours or theirs
Objectivity - Sees Mentoree's strengths and weaknesses
Release Mentoree when it is God’s timing

Rely on the Word of God and the Wisdom of God to speak through you

Look for Mentoree's spiritual gifts and encourage her to develop and use them

Pray daily for your Mentorees - Teach them to pray and seek God’s will

Give generously to Mentorees - Wisdom, hope, encouragement and love

Be able to back up your advise with scriptural references

Encourage professional counseling for healing and deliverance when needed

Do not allow yourself to be your Mentoree’s Holy Spirit

Expect God to give you sovereign opportunities to plant the seed of His Word

Encourage Mentorees to “Aspire to be all that God created them to be”
-
Teach your spiritual daughters to turn to God for all her needs, and she will not become dependent upon you.
