Intimacy With God
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Psalm 91:1 I invite you to journey with me to the secret place, resting in the very arms of Jesus. With eyes closed, relax as Jesus gently picks you up and holds you in His loving arms. Imagine He’s brought you to the rocking chair of His Presence. As you lay your head upon His chest, feel Him gently caress your head. Just think! He has the hairs on your head numbered and He treasures every one of them. He loves you with an everlasting love. Listen to His heart. It is beating for you. As you gaze into His eyes see His depth of love for you, His beautiful bride. Your eyes are the gates to your soul and He desires to fill you with His love as you rest in Him. Open up your heart and experience from out of His love rivers of living water flow into your being. As He holds you in His arms, He gently blesses you with these words, “You are Mine." You are My precious jewel. (Malachi 3:17) As you rest in His arms allow yourself to bask in total abandonment to Him. Jesus my Lover, my friend Opening my eyes to the morning light I long for more of You Wherever You go, As He imparts His love into you, take time to shower your love and adoration upon Him. Think of all of the wonderful times you have experienced together and begin praising Him. Think about His love. Go ahead, right now. The world cannot touch you in this place for you are in Him and He in you. You have entered into the Secret Place of your soul and into the loving arms of Jesus…nothing else matters. Stay awhile, bask awhile, rest awhile and enjoy His very Presence as you rest in His arms. JESUS DESIRES A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU Jesus is waiting to reveal Himself to you in a way you've never experienced before. He desires to reveal the uncontainable awesomeness of Himself to you. Sharing your lives together will be a new adventure every day because His surprises are endless. His thoughts for you cannot be numbered. Jesus longs for this kind of loving ongoing daily relationship with you. A special time set aside for Him to overshadow you like a hen gathering her chicks, wrapping them under her wings. Jesus wants to overshadow you with all that He is, the GREAT I AM. Those two words, "I AM" cannot be contained. They are deep and wide beyond imagination. And yet, Jesus simply calls unto Himself and says, "Rest in Me, Be who I've created you to be!" Jesus desires friendship with you more than you know. Just as I have personally experienced His love and friendship in my life, He longs for you in the same way. Jesus began catapulting me by imparting holy hunger to run after His Presence. It was at this time that God brought Sandra into my life. She became my mentor daily imparting into me the wisdom and love of the Father. Calling me forth to a greater destiny in Him. Our love grew and we became prayer partners, ministry partners and treasured friends. Together we began listening to The Holy Spirit speak through many powerfully anointed ministers. They were instrumental in imparting this zeal and hunger within. Each of these anointed men and women of God have ministered to us in such a way that our lives will never be the same. They pointed the way for us to know God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit more intimately. His manifest Presence awakened each of our relationships with Him more than ever making them richer and fuller. Becoming hungry for the secret place in Jesus, I began running into His arms resting, listening, soaking, waiting, praising, thanking and enjoying My Lord as we lavish our love onto each other. Knowing the love of Jesus has transformed my life. As my relationship with Jesus became more intimate, I began running to him like a deer panting for the water brooks (Psalm 42:1) I became lovesick for Jesus. In fact He became my everything and I became more aware of His ever Presence. He is Jehovah Shammah. He is here with me all of the time no matter where I go. This 21st Century way of life is fast tracked and high-pressured by the world in which we live in. God’s plan for our lives is that we live each day as Jesus did. He woke up each morning with great expectancy knowing His day was another day with destiny. Jesus spent time talking to the Father all throughout His day. What if we lived out our life like Jesus did? We can precious one. We can live out our lives listening and following the perfect and most holy plan the Father has for our lives. It is a journey full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. It can be a life of total balance if we do those things we hear Jesus speak in the Secret Place. Our time with Jesus is worth fighting for. It is a precious time set aside to be guarded from the pull of the world around us. KNOWING GOD AND SHARING WHAT YOU KNOW Moses knew the secret and power of intimacy with God. He found this in the tent meeting with God face to face. Moses knew the value of walking with God and he wanted to share what he knew. Bringing others alongside him to love God as he did. I believe in their talks along the way, God spoke of young Joshua. He wanted Moses to daily pass this great mantle upon Joshua preparing him to lead the next generation. God was planning for the future. Joshua was a young man that watched and listened carefully to Moses and to God. He knew that Moses had seen the face of God and he wanted that kind of relationship too. Notice that Moses left the tent, “but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart the tabernacle.” Joshua lingered in the tent a little longer. Todd Bentley says that when he studied the anointed leaders of the former generation he noticed they were spending four to six hours with God every day. So Todd decided to spend six to eight hours a day with Him. He decided to linger a little longer. Following these great men and women's example, we also began praising, soaking and waiting in the Presence of the Lord. It is our utmost priority to spend quality time with Jesus each day making our relationship and bond with Him stronger, fuller and deeper as those who have gone before. WAIT PATIENTLY Moses’ relationship with the Lord was intimate. He sat daily in God’s Presence waiting for Him to order his day. Waiting in God’s presence gave Moses strategy and the confidence to carry out the plans God spoke. And God will do this for you as you seek Him with your whole heart and wait patiently. (Psalm 37:3-7) MORE In the following passages, Moses declared out loud the instructions God had given him. He declared the word of the Lord with power. He also reminded God of their intimate relationship and that he was hungry for More. They were intimate friends on a first name basis and Moses wasn’t afraid to go in and ask God for More. Exodus 33:14,”Now therefore I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now your way, that I may know you that I may find grace in Your sight.” (Emphasis mine) Moses walked with God for a long time and experienced the hand of God, signs and wonders. But Moses knew there was always MORE! “But from there you will seek the Lord Your God and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” (Deuteronomy 4:29) THERE IS ALWAYS MORE OF GOD…ALWAYS! As you spend time together with Jesus, your thoughts will become His thoughts and your ways His ways. Then you will become full of who He is and who He has uniquely designed you to be. The fruits of the spirit will flow out of you everywhere you go! (Galatians 5:22) “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control against there is no law.” And the gifting within you will come forth in power!! The very essence of Jesus will rub off onto you and you will become full! Your life will be focused on Him and a journey to know Him more intimately. One taste of Jesus will increase your hunger and thirst for more! Oh precious woman of God how wonderful it is to hunger and thirst for Him!!! My desire is that my hunger and thirst for Him will grow more intense every day. SEEK GOD’S GLORY God made a promise to Moses in verse 14, "And He said, 'My Presence will go with you and I will give you rest." I like what Moses' response was to God in verse 15. In essence, 'If you do not go with me, I won't go.' I will not take one step without You God! Moses was walking in the very shadow of God and had decided long ago that he would only go where God went. Moses found the awesome secret place. The overshadowing of God was so powerful that being with Him and in Him was a place he never wanted to leave. Jesus also said in the New Testament, "Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the son also does in like manner." John 5:19 Jesus is our model example of a walk with God. Now can you imagine this? We see that as much as Moses had in his relationship with God, he still pressed in for more! “Show me Your glory!” (Verse 18) He heard God, followed God, brought forth and witnessed many miracles, walked in God’s shadow and yet he knew there was more and he was out to get it!!! This is what I pray for you and I to do! May we hunger and thirst for God as he takes us from Glory to Glory! God showed Moses His Glory! He answered Moses’ prayer far beyond his expectations. Moses even had to hide his face in the cleft of the rock because he couldn’t contain it all! JUMP IN Press in ladies! Seek God with all of your heart. Press in and ask for more and you will never be disappointed. God will reveal Himself to you more and more each day. He has a great adventure just for you. Oh, the treasures He has picked out for you today. Seek Him and He will far surpass your expectations. Praise Him for His revelation. Press in for more of Him and you will have it. Remember in a thriving beautiful relationship with God, the more you release yourself unto Him, the more of Him you will see and know. Go ahead, jump into the arms of God! PRAY WITH ME Father, I pray that my walk with You will be more intimate today than my walk was yesterday. I pray that my hunger and thirst for you will become more intense. It is You Jesus that I want to know as a friend knows a friend. Show me Your Glory and move me from glory to glory in You. Thank You for revealing Yourself to me in ways I never dreamed possible. It is in you that I live and move and have my being. Thank You for Your love, mercy, grace and favor as we journey together.
